Success StoriesCloud Integration for World’s Largest Domain Name Registrar
Powers world’s largest services platform for entrepreneurs globally
Business Need
Objectives Driving Transformation
The world’s largest domain name registrar required a flexible, cloud-based ERP ecosystem capable of supporting finance, HR, and enterprise planning functions. The organization needed to connect a highly customized legacy infrastructure with new cloud applications while maintaining near real-time synchronization across systems. Integration with third-party vendors, custom-built applications, and newly acquired entities was essential to ensure operational continuity and scalable growth. Leadership also sought to reduce manual intervention in employee onboarding and enterprise workflows.
- Implement cloud-based ERP integration across finance and HR systems
- Enable seamless connectivity between legacy and cloud applications
- Support near real-time synchronization across enterprise systems
- Integrate third-party vendors and custom-built applications
- Accelerate onboarding processes with automated workflows
- Reduce operating costs through platform rationalization
Enable seamless hybrid cloud integration to support ERP modernization, improve operational agility, and accelerate employee and business onboarding.
Challenge
Barriers to Progress
The cloud ERP implementation consumed significant internal resources, compounded by a heavily customized legacy environment. Existing integrations built on SSIS were not optimized for real-time synchronization or cloud scalability. High global transaction volumes required resilient and high-performance integrations. Additionally, integrating newly acquired companies into the cloud ERP landscape added complexity to the technical and operational migration strategy.
- Complex, customized legacy infrastructure
- SSIS-based integrations limiting scalability
- Requirement for near real-time data synchronization
- High global transaction volumes
- Resource strain during ERP transformation
- Integration challenges across acquired entities and third-party vendors
Solution & Results
What Paradigm Enabled
Paradigm implemented Informatica Cloud Application Integration (CAI) to connect Workday HCM with the cloud-based ERP finance system, enabling real-time synchronization across HR and financial platforms. The solution integrated legacy on-prem SQL Server databases with Azure-based cloud environments, establishing a hybrid architecture capable of supporting high transaction volumes. ServiceNow was also integrated with enterprise applications to streamline workflows. Three legacy platforms were decommissioned, reducing complexity and operating costs while improving scalability and onboarding efficiency.
- Real-time integration between Workday HCM and ERP finance systems
- Seamless hybrid connectivity between on-prem and Azure SQL environments
- 38% reduction in operating costs through decommissioning of 3 legacy platforms
- Up to 3x faster onboarding into internal applications
- Improved scalability and resilience for high global transaction volumes
- Streamlined integration of acquired companies into cloud ERP
The organization now operates with a modern, cloud-integrated ERP ecosystem that enhances agility, reduces operational cost, and supports scalable global growth.
