Data Governance Interest Group, Hawaii Summit

Interest in data governance is rising. Data needs for big data, data mining, business intelligence, security and privacy concerns and regulatory pressures from GDPR are all driving the need for a robust and well-managed data governance program.

Join First Hawaiian Bank, Informatica, Paradigm Technology and the President of the Hawaii Chapter of IIBA as we explore current and future trends in data governance.

Speaker Profiles

Peter Ku :

Peter is Vice President and Head of Informatica’s Industry Solutions Consulting group and directly responsible for Informatica’s Financial Services vertical markets. He is an expert in data governance, data strategy, and enterprise data management and a 10 year veteran at Informatica. He has helped financial services companies across the globe for over 20 years understand how to leverage data management solutions to accelerate business growth, comply with regulations, combat fraud and improve business efficiencies.

Peter spent six years in the credit card industry with Providian Bancorp and Visa International leveraging business intelligence and predictive analytic solutions for credit card fraud and new customer acquisition programs. He also spent 6 years in product management and strategy roles at CoreLogic (NYSE: CLGX) and Ellie Mae (NASDAQ: ELLI) delivering next generation loan decisioning and analytic solutions to the mortgage industry. Peter is a member of the Enterprise Data Management Council (www.edmcouncil.org) and a regular presenter at industry events across the globe including FIMA, IDC Financial Congress and author of many articles related to Data Governance, Big Data, and Data Management for the financial service industry. He also holds an MBA in Finance from the University of San Francisco and B.S. in Marketing from Hawaii Pacific University.

Annette Wright :

Annette has over 20 years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Management, Business Intelligence and Regulatory/Financial Reporting. She has defined data governance programs across retail, waste management, high tech and financial industry companies. She was recognized for delivering a World Class Reporting Solution for EU LCR in 2016 by Bank of the West parent company, BNP Paribas, and is a recipient of 2007 Gold American Express Technology Excellence award for leadership in design and implementation of the Rebates & Rewards Data Warehouse and Reporting Application.

Annette has a demonstrated ability to identify, research, analyze and significantly improve business processes including: Drive and document business requirements, utilize strong technical and organizational skills in a dynamic environment, create and maintain positive global relationships, and resolve issues and deliver solutions for business partners.

Prior to joining Paradigm, Annette worked as a Lead Technical Architect, Data Governance Manager, Lead Business Systems Analyst and an IBM Managing Consultant. She has presented at several user conferences for reporting tools presenting on topics of self-serve reporting, business requirements and data security. She also holds multiple MicroStrategy Certifications and an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix.

Jamie Champagne :

Jamie is beyond her “passionate BA” title and truly embodies business analysis and adding value to those around her every day. As president of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Hawaii Chapter, she works with an amazing team to drive business value through promoting the practice and profession of business analysis throughout Hawaii.

Jamie’s company, Champagne Collaborations, focuses on partnering with organizations to develop and grow their business analysis skills to drive greater value both on project-based work and in daily operational and in daily operational delivery. She is an accomplished speaker and trainer who utilizes her strong IT and process improvement background combined with unique ways to look at the world to help organizations be more accomplished with measurable results.
